This May Have Been Prince Philip’s Only Complaint About Queen Elizabeth

For his part, Philip once said about Elizabeth, “I think the main lesson we have learnt is that tolerance is the one essential ingredient in any happy marriage… You can take it from me, the Queen has the quality of tolerance in abundance” (via Harper’s Bazaar).
But despite the many things the royals loved about one another, it seems there may have been one complaint the Duke of Edinburgh had about his wife of nearly three quarters of a century.

Brandreth also said about Philip’s intolerance for Queen Elizabeth’s alleged phone addiction, “It was the only time he ever complained about the queen. He knew his whole life was supporting the queen. He never put a foot wrong, he always turned up right day, right uniform, on time, one step behind her.”
According to Faces Magazine, the average person spends over three hours on their phone each day. Who knows if the monarch exceeds this amount or not, but if Brandreth is to be believed, Prince Philip found her time talking on the tele too much.
