The royal family may turn their backs on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, according to royal expert Russell Myers (via Page Six). The royals are said to be growing tired of the couple’s drama, which includes speaking publicly about the family during their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey and leaking details about private matters to the media. “The Oprah Winfrey interview, let’s not make any bones about it, went down like a lead balloon. As far as Harry and Meghan are concerned, I think they will be left to sort things out on their own,” Myers told the U.K.’s TalkRadio. “They’ve been a distraction for the most part for the family … There will be quite a lot of dissatisfaction within the camp, and it remains to be seen whether they will be brought back in,” Myers added.
Myers went on to reveal that Harry’s father, Prince Charles, was furious over the interview, and that he’s unwilling to “forgive, forget,” and “heal the rift.” Instead, he and his older son, Prince William, are said to be united when it comes to moving on and getting back to the business of running the royal family while putting Harry, Meghan, and the drama behind them (via Daily Mail). “I don’t think it’s the last straw for the monarchy. I think it’s an evolution rather than a revolution,” Myers revealed, adding that Prince William’s reign will likely bring a “new dawn” to the monarchy.
