As celebrity pairings go, there are few more perfect on paper than Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton’s. Both country superstars, both popular and famous, they seemed equally matched to the extent the couple reportedly got together despite the fact they were both with other people at the time. As Country Living notes, they originally met in 2005, going public following Shelton’s divorce from his first wife, Kaynette Williams, in 2007.
Their wedding took place in 2011 but, by 2015, it was all over. Although it was an acrimonious split, with accusations flying from both sides about infidelity and the stress of trying to keep a long-distance relationship going in the midst of two equally demanding careers, the former couple has since found love with new partners. Looking back on their lovely, low-key wedding, however, it’s difficult to see how it could have gone so wrong for them.
